Penn Parking's field operations are orchestrated by Vice President of Operations, Michael Amoroso. He oversees Penn Parking's 15,000 plus parking spaces housed in more than 30 locations in Maryland, the District and Virginia.
Michael has more than 23 years of management experience with over 20 years of progressive management experience in the parking industry. Upon joining Penn Parking in 1993, his first challenge was the start up and supervision of Penn Parking's first branch office in the Washington D.C. area. Along with this branch office initiation was the duty of gaining locations to support the office. Today, Penn Parking now has two branch offices in the Washington D.C. area and numerous locations to support each.
Since 1998, Michael has been Penn Parking's Vice President of Operations. In this capacity, he has not only excelled in the operational function of his position but has utilized his skills to improve Penn Parking's field's audits, marketing for existing clientele and management/employee training programs. By developing and implementing checklists, accountability standards and follow up measurements, operations have reached higher standards for both Penn Parking and its clientele. His passion being revenue control, Michael enthusiastically provides clients with consultations, installation oversight, hands on training and written procedures for equipment usage.
Administratively, his talents provide detailed and accurate monthly reports to property owners and thoroughly researched plans to enhance operations and increase revenues. Penn Parking's monthly reporting has been considered by outsiders as exceptional. Site specific Standard Operating Procedure manuals have become a forte of his and are used for the development and training of existing and new personnel to both line and management employees.
Michael earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
